As a Key Account Manager, you play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with customers. Your responsibilities revolve around managing customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is paramount. This involves understanding their needs, addressing concerns and providing solutions to enhance their experience.
  • Account Planning and Strategy: developing strategies to grow accounts and achieve sales targets. This includes identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products/services.
  • As a junior/medior profile you will work closely together with our CCO.

Qualifications and qualities

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience in Sales/Account management in a B2B industry.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively conveying ideas, negotiating contracts and resolving conflicts. This includes both verbal and written communication in Dutch and English. French and German are considered a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: you need to be adept at identifying issues and finding creative solutions to address them promptly. This may involve collaborating with our internal teams.
  • Ability to learn: a deep technical understanding of the products or services offered by our company is crucial for effectively communicating their value to customers and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Project Management: managing multiple customer accounts simultaneously requires strong organizational and time management skills. You must be capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Customer Service Orientation: putting the customer's needs first and ensuring their satisfaction is at the core of the Account Manager's role. This involves being responsive to inquiries, providing support when needed and actively seeking feedback.
  • Analyzing data and metrics to track account performance and identify areas for growth is key. This may involve monitoring sales metrics, customer satisfaction scores and other relevant KPIs.
  • Negotiation Skills: negotiating contracts, pricing and terms with customers requires finesse and the ability to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Working closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing and customer success to coordinate efforts and deliver value to customers.
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and customer needs is crucial in a dynamic business environment.
  • Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: understanding the customer's perspective, empathizing with their challenges and building rapport based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Enthusiastic and goal-oriented profile, be willing to travel when necessary, driven by achieving results.
